huge castle, it’s twin-spired cathedral, stone mansions and ancient wooden houses. The Musée Jean Lurçat et de la Tapisserie Contemporaine
houses Jean Lurçat's 1957 tapestry sequence Le Chant du Monde and the famed Apocalypse series.
The regional capital, Nantes is a sophisticated city with excellent elegant
shopping and numerous free museums. The recently restored Château des Ducs de Bretagne should not be
missed.
On the Vendée coast, the town of St John-de-Mont is a favourite amongst those choosing a camping holiday in
France, with long sandy beaches reached through Pine woods.
Further along the coast is the popular resort of Les Sables d'Olonne.
